ABOUT JON LYNCH

I started out in real estate in 1974. This was during the gas crises of that era and we really did not see too many people on the coast at the time. I was able to spend a lot of time learning about real estate and became very creative with what properties we had on how to sell them to people out of the area. During this time I became the 1st million dollar producer in the area.

In 1978 I became a broker and 1/3 owner of a real estate company in Depoe Bay. Real Estate was excellent until we hit the famous 21% interest rates of the early 80’s. This was a period of time of very little real estate activity, many foreclosures, lots of bankruptcies added to the downturn of the local timber industry with the protection of the spotted owl. Again another time of creative real estate and skilled sales were needed.

In 1983 I moved my business to Newport, 12 miles to the south. I worked for ERA Coastal properties for 9 years and was the number 1 agent in that office and the number 1 agent in the Northwest for many years. I eventually moved on and opened my own office Coldwell Banker Central Coast Realty.

Today I run a small but successful office in Newport. We have been in business for over 10 years and often are the number 1 producing company in the county. My production of sales over the last 35 years has exceeded $300,000,000. My emphasis has been on large scale developments but never forget what got me here in the first place. And that is one transaction at a time, no matter what the size.

I pride myself on spending as much energy on the first time home buyer as I do with the experienced developer. I have extensive experience in both residential and commercial. In addition I have worked on more that 20 condo projects, 15 large subdivision projects and countless investment transactions. I have over 1000 hours of continuing education in real estate. In addition I have completed all of my CCIM (commercial designation) courses so understand just about anything to do with real estate and or investment.
